It's easy to become a BESS Contributor.
1. The purpose of the orientation is to ensure that you are genuinely interested in BDSM and in becoming a part of BESS, are in tune with the basic values of the Baltimore BDSM community, and are at least 21 years of age (please bring ID). The Orientation provides information about BESS and gives you an opportunity to ask questions about BESS.
2. BESS Contributors can attend and bring up to 4 guests, to any Contributors-only meeting or event.
3. Orientations are held at 7:00 on the first and third Wednesdays of each month and before a regular BESS Education meeting. Once quarterly, an orientation will be held on a Saturday. Please see the Event Calendar for exact dates for the Saturday orientations. The Orientations are held at the same location as the BESS meetings. Attending an orientation is neccessary before becoming a Contributor.
4. At the end of Orientation, you will be given an opportunity to become a BESS Contributor. If you're interested in becoming a Contributor, you will be asked to fill out a Contributor application and sign our Terms of Contributorship. The application will ask you for your legal name, your scene name, your mailing address, and your home phone and/or email. Discretion is of primary concern to BESS, and this information will be protected. The Terms of Contributorship outlines your responsibilities as a BESS Contributor.
5. BESS will always contact you by email, unless you do not have email access and instruct us to contact you by regular mail or by phone.
6. Annual dues are $20 (appropriately prorated down during the first year of contributorship).
