Elections!

Elections for the seven member BESS Board of Directors and the BESS Omsbudmans position will be held on Wednesday, November 17th at the Holiday Inn, Glen Burnie. The nominees for the 2005 Board of Directors can be found here.

The rules are simple:

1. If you are a contributor, you may nominate yourself or you may nominate any other contributor. Please email nominations to:  [email protected]
2. If you nominate someone you must include, in the nomination e-mail, the name of the person you are nominating and their contact information (email address or phone number). We need this information to confirm that the nomination is accepted.
3. Candidates will be requested to provide a brief statement describing their background and their interest in BESS. These statements will be posted to the BESS announcement list and here on the website.
4. Advance nominations are due by November 3rd. Nominations will be taken "from the floor" on the day of the election; the nominee must be present.
5. To vote, you must be present with your current contributor card on November 17th (no mail-ins or other proxies will be accepted). If you have not renewed your contributorship, you must do so before entering the meeting. BESS staff will be conducting renewals immediately prior to the meeting.
