• The Internet is not reality (online “play” is nothing like real life)
• Sturgeon’s Law applies (there is much misinformation on the Internet) Scenes are not seductions (up-front negotiations are a crucial safety factor)
• Submissive is not the same as doormat (beware of the CHuDWah, the Clueless Heterosexual Dominant Wannabe)
• Travel at the speed of trust (don’t rush into anything; there are bad people out there with their own agendas, it’s easy for someone to hide their true self and intentions behind a keyboard, and the journey of BDSM discovery is its own reward)
